COMMISSION AND CASH DISCOUNT
Agency Commission: 15% of gross billing allowed to recognized advertising agencies on space, color, bleed, covers, special positions and inserts, provided account is paid within 30 days of invoice date.

Prepayment Terms: If payment is not received by net 60 days of invoice date, the 15% agency discount will be rescinded.

RATE POLICY
Inserts: Contact the Publisher for rates and details.

Publisher’s Copy Protective Clause: Advertisers and advertiser agencies assume liability for all content (including text, representation and illustrations) and advertisements printed, and also assume responsibility for any claims arising there from made against the publisher. The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising which is not in keeping with the publication’s standards, even if it has been published previously.

Short Rates and Rebates: Advertisers will be short rated if, within a 12-month period from the date of the first insertion, they do not use the number of insertions upon which their billings have been based. Advertisers will be rebated if, within a 12-month period from the date of the first insertion, they have used sufficient additional insertions to warrant a lower rate than that at which they have billed.

Rate Protective Clause: When new rates are announced, advertisers will be protected at their contract rates for 90 days after effective date of new rate. Orders may be canceled at the time the change in rates becomes effective without incurring a short-rate adjustment on insertions already run, provided the contract has earned contact frequency rate up to date of cancellation.

Combination Rates: Advertisers in any combination of CCD, Greetings etc., Selling Christmas Decorations, and Selling Halloween will receive the earned frequency rate across the publications.

Cancellation: Orders may be cancelled without charge provided the Publisher receives written notice of cancellation prior to the ad close date. A cancellation charge will be assessed if notice is received after ad close date. Cancellation may affect frequency discount.

DIGITAL SPECS FOR ADVERTISEMENTS
General Information
• Printing Process: Standard four-color printing process is used. PMS colors used by you should be converted to process, keeping in mind that these colors are used for your guidance only. We do not match PMS colors. You will be charged extra to print PMS colors.
• Proofs: A matchprint-type proof for each ad is required. Please note that proofs from color copiers and laser prints are not acceptable for color guidance.
• Fonts: Type 1 fonts are acceptable. Include all screen and printer fonts. Do not use True Type fonts or stylized fonts. Similar fonts will be substituted if needed.

Specs for Digital Files – General Information
• We accept CDs,Zip disks and emailed files.
• Artwork should be created/sent in at least 300 dpi for grayscale and color; 800 dpi or greater for line art.

Requirements
• All files must include a hard copy.
• Files must include company name, contact name, and phone number in case there are problems with the file.
• All photos must be scanned to a resolution of 300 dpi or greater at final size.

Software-Specific Files
• QuarkXpress:
– Disk must include all fonts and graphics used in the
Quark document.
– File format required is .qxd.
– Printout of document must accompany the file.
• Adobe Illustrator:
– All fonts must be converted to outlines, all images embedded, and all color used must be CMYK process.
– File format required is .eps.
• Adobe Photoshop:
– File mode must be grayscale for B&W ads or CMYK for color ads.
– File format required is .tif or eps at 300 dpi or greater at final size.
– All artwork must be clearly marked with company name, contact name, and file name.
